Tesla is launching a final 350‑vehicle Signature Series run for its Plaid flagship models, offering exclusive finishes and numbered dash plates to invited buyers.

The tesla model s and Model X Plaid Signature Series comprises 250 Model S vehicles and 100 Model X vehicles in six‑seat configuration, and access is invite‑only via email.

Ryan McCaffrey posted a full spec sheet on X detailing the program and the Tesla Austin Owners Club shared what appears to be a promotional image.

The cars come in an exclusive Garnet Red paint not available on current production vehicles, with gold Tesla T badges on the front and a gold Plaid badge on the rear.

Interior changes include a white alcantara cabin, gold Plaid seat badges with gold piping, Signature door sills, a numbered Signature dash plate, and a special interior lighting sequence.

Both models include the yoke steering wheel, a Signature Edition key fob, black skull caps, and the Luxe Package, with 21‑inch wheels for the Model S and 22‑inch wheels for the Model X.

The Model S Signature will get carbon ceramic brakes with gold calipers while the Model X retains standard red Plaid calipers, and the cars feature gold Plaid puddle lights.

Multiple sources have confirmed the Model X Signature Series Plaid price at $159,420, a roughly $30,000 premium above the current Model X Plaid inventory price of $129,900.

Model S Signature pricing has not been confirmed, but the report said a similar premium applied to the current Model S Plaid inventory price of $124,900 suggests an expected price around $155,000.

Context And Production End

Tesla confirmed that Model S and Model X production is over and reported about 600 units remain in global inventory, roughly 295 Model S and 301 Model X, almost all in the United States.

Elon Musk announced the end of the programs during Tesla’s Q4 2025 earnings call in January and described the move as an “honorable discharge.”

The Fremont factory line that built these vehicles is being converted to manufacture Optimus humanoid robots, and Tesla plans a sunset celebration event in May for the Signature run.

The article noted historical weight for the Signature name, recalling that the first 1,000 Signature Model S units in 2012 required a $40,000 deposit and cost nearly $100,000 each.

The report’s author also wrote to Elon Musk that the final Signature pricing is a steep premium for cars that the article said were not meaningfully updated in their final years.
