Kevin Durant and Nike unveiled the KD19 on-court during the Rockets Lakers game, a design Nike said is engineered for responsiveness, comfort and containment.

The KD19 pairs a multilayer cushioning system with the return of a full-length Zoom Strobel and a Cushlon 3.0 midsole, Nike said, and adds a 3D-molded sock liner and textile tongue for comfort.

Nike described an exterior TPU dagger as a signature visual and functional element, created with a dual-injection process that provides heel and midfoot lockdown and produces the shoe's distinctive dagger shape.

Additional structure comes from a midfoot shank for stability, and the outsole carries a traction pattern using the numbers 35 and 7 to reference Durant's jersey numbers, Nike said.

Ross Klein, VP and Creative Director at Nike Basketball, said the KD19 embodies Durant's edge and helps players get to any spot and knock down shots, reflecting the brand's attention to athlete feedback from youth to pro levels.

Nike first unveiled the KD19 on-court March 16, and said the shoe will release exclusively on SNKRS June 13 before a global launch June 17.
