Disneyland announced it will eliminate the 11 AM Park Hopper restriction, effective June 9, 2026, allowing guests to move between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure at any time.
The disneyland park hopping policy change applies to guests with Park Hopper tickets and Magic Key annual passes, and it remains subject to park availability and capacity limits.
Guests will still need to select a first park when making a park reservation, but they will not be required to tap into that park before hopping to the other park, Disneyland said.
WDWNT first shared the change earlier, and Mickey Visit confirmed Disney provided the updated policy details directly to the outlet, including how Park Hopper hours can vary by day and park.
Context And Related Policy Changes
Thomas Mazloum, identified as former Disneyland President and current Disney Experiences Chairman, earlier signaled the removal would occur sometime in 2026 and said the team was reviewing the full customer journey.
Mazloum said the review targeted areas such as the resort booking process, trade partners, and the arrival experience to find steps that had become needlessly complicated, Mickey Visit reported.
Disneyland also rolled out other recent operational changes, including updates to a restaurant mobile ordering policy, a new way for Magic Key holders to make park reservations in the app, and adjustments to ride procedures to limit closures caused by guest behavior.
Park reservations remain required, which Disney cited as an effective tool for managing the workforce and balancing crowds across days, according to Mickey Visit, and guests are advised to check the Park Hours calendar or the Disneyland app for current Park Hopper hours.
