Prague has seen a cluster of new hospitality openings and building projects across several neighborhoods, bringing bakeries, gelato, cafes and specialised restaurants to the city.

In Karlín a fourth branch of Tisse Bakery opened in the Block building by the Urxova tram stop, offering sourdough loaves, handmade laminated pastries and coffee, and a courtyard garden that expands seating options in the neighbourhood.

Andrea Sirtori launched Sugo Gelato Bar near his Sokolovská pasta restaurant, serving milk-based soft serve fior di latte with rotating toppings and a bottle of natural wine for afternoon visitors, with a permanent Sugo Pizza Bar planned for Holešovice later in the year.

Ambiente added Biskup on the corner of Hradební and Dlouhá, combining a restaurant and a fresh produce shop selling Czech farm vegetables, fruit and poultry, while the kitchen works in an izakaya style with bar seating, four cooks and a kiosk-based ordering system. The group reports beef tartare as its most-ordered dish.

Ambiente also expanded Cukrárna Myšák to a third location beside Prague Castle, broadening focus to breakfasts with eggs, rohlíky, filled croissants and a house speciality called the Štěpánská omelette.

Smaller neighbourhood openings include Vítek and Neboj Café on Žižkov squares, Muna on Myslíkova Street built around Argentine medialunas with coffee by Father’s roastery and evening Spanish wines, Crisp & Crackle on the Rašínovo nábřeží offering British fish and chips and porchetta sandwiches, and The Apricot near the Masaryčka building serving khachapuri, khinkali and Georgian wines.

Separately, SKYX Platforms Corp. announced it will supply advanced plug and play smart technologies for the ongoing renovation of The Mozart Prague, an iconic five-star hotel owned by Group OTT and managed by Accor. SKYX said its products will include ceiling lighting, fans, recessed and emergency lights, and other smart fixtures aimed at cutting renovation time and cost.

Jean-François Ott, founder of Group OTT, said he was excited to include SKYX’s technologies during the Mozart renovation and expects to deploy them in additional European projects. Rani Kohen, founder and executive chairman of SKYX, said the company expects to grow its hotel and builder segments based on time and cost savings and the advanced features of its systems.

Church Stake Center Opening And Community Access

A new stake and community center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened in Prague with a dedication led by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. The building will also serve as a community centre for public noncommercial cultural, educational, social and sports activities.

More than 700 Latter-day Saints attended the dedication and a special stake conference, and more than 500 people visited an open house that included facility tours, a service project, sports on the new playground, workshops, presentations, music and dance.

President Uchtdorf expressed gratitude for the building and said, as reported, "We are here today thanks to those who did not give up, even though the only thing they had were Christian yoga camps." He added that the new facility would give members "more strength and determination" and invited them to share the church's message openly.

Area leaders including Elder Martin Pilka and James W. McConkie testified to miracles during preparation and construction. President Jared Everton described personal emotion on seeing the building, and Olga Kovářová Campora called the opening "a wonderful, historic day" she had dreamed of for decades.
