Private Carriers And Retail Operations
Major private shippers will continue operations, with FedEx and UPS maintaining deliveries and retail locations, according to their websites and company statements cited in reports.
Large retailers are largely open, with Walmart operating normal hours as confirmed by a spokesperson, Costco remaining open despite some federal holiday closures, and Target open during normal business hours per a company spokesperson.
Grocery chains listed as open include Food Lion, Kroger, Stop & Shop, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans and Whole Foods, according to local reporting and retailer announcements.
Other stores and fast food chains reported open include Apple, CVS, Dunkin’, HomeGoods, Homesense, IHOP, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s with some extended hours, Marshalls, McDonald’s, Petco, Nordstrom, Sierra, Starbucks, Taco Bell and TJ Maxx.
