2027 Chevrolet Silverado arrives redesigned for the 2027 model year with a new lineup that includes Trail Boss, ZR2, High Country and Work Truck variants.
Chevrolet said the brand will continue selling Work Truck models aimed at fleet and commercial customers, and it showed a front view of the Work Truck in its announcement.
The ZR2 serves as the higher end off road trim, equipped with 35 inch MT tires, a two inch lift, standard front and rear e lockers and Multimatic DSSV dampers for demanding terrain.
Chevrolet described the ZR2 as able to navigate high speed desert terrain and rocky trails, and noted interior accents and seatbelts edged in Torch Red for the trim.
Chevrolet said the ZR2 also includes forged carbon fiber trim on the doors and console, marking the first time General Motors has used forged carbon in one of its vehicles.
The Trail Boss targets drivers seeking off road capability at a lower price and will come with 34 inch MT tires, a two inch factory lift and an off road hood.
The Trail Boss interior carries Torch Red accents, while the High Country aims for a more luxurious appearance with darker trim elements and a new badge design.
Chevrolet positioned the High Country as the most luxurious trim on the redesigned Silverado, and it arrives standard with 22 inch After Midnight machine faced wheels.
Trim Strategy And Intended Buyers
Chevrolet structured the Silverado lineup to cover utility, off road performance and luxury buyers, with Work Truck serving commercial needs and ZR2 and Trail Boss targeting off road customers.
The ZR2 emphasizes high performance off road hardware and distinctive interior details, while the Trail Boss offers a factory lift and off road styling at a modestly lower tier.
High Country buyers will have two interior themes to choose from, light and dark, Chevrolet said, with real wood decor and Tritan Satin accents to enhance the cabin.
The automaker presented the High Country as having a more modern and athletic look, and kept Work Truck on the roster to satisfy fleet and commercial purchasers.
