Summary
  • Cloud play needs Xbox Game Pass and a supported device
  • Game library and support vary by region and platform
  • Promotional offers may be limited and require a credit card
  • Rewards and billing rules vary by plan and market and require Microsoft account

Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming is available only with an Xbox Game Pass subscription and a supported device, and microsoft xbox streaming therefore depends on that combination for access, as stated by Xbox.

Xbox says cloud playable games that are not included with Xbox Game Pass are sold separately and could be added to the service later, and the game library changes over time by plan, platform, and region.

Players can stream directly on Xbox consoles, on the Xbox app, or at xbox.com/play on supported devices, and availability requires checking the list of supported regions and devices and the cloud gaming library provided by Xbox.

Subscription Offers Rewards And Billing

Xbox warns promotional offers may be limited to new subscribers, may not apply to all accounts, and are available only for a limited time, and some offers require a credit card to redeem and then automatically continue at the then current regular price unless canceled.

Microsoft states recurring billing will charge the payment method at the selected interval until a subscriber cancels, and subscribers must cancel in their Microsoft account or on an Xbox console before the next billing date to stop charges.

Charges may be increased on at least 30 days notice according to the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale, and Xbox indicates specific exclusions and terms apply to certain titles and rewards.

Xbox outlines Rewards conditions that require a Microsoft Account and operate only in select markets, and the company says rewards vary by Game Pass plan and Rewards Level while point values depend on local currency and the number of points redeemed.

Xbox notes point multipliers are compared to Game Pass Essential earning potential, gameplay rewards are limited to adults aged 18 and over, and exclusive quests appear only with Premium and Ultimate plans for titles in the Game Pass library.

Xbox states quests require playtime, and Rewards exclude PC Games that require third party launchers or are played on Battle net, and qualifying purchases for points apply at the Microsoft Store online or on Windows or console.

Xbox adds that spending points is currently available for single item purchases at the Microsoft Store excluding subscriptions, a minimum purchase applies, and Xbox Gift Cards can cover eligible Microsoft Store purchases within 90 days of redemption.
