publix new brisket subs have been added to the chain’s Pub Sub lineup, with three new sub options and one Stacked Brisket and Brioche Sandwich, Publix announced in a company release.
The new offerings center on a Texas inspired smoked brisket and include a Spicy Brisket Sub, a Brisket, Lettuce and Tomato Sub, and a Southern Style Brisket Sub, along with a Stacked Brisket and Brioche Sandwich served on a brioche roll.
Publix described the brisket as smoked low and slow and paired across the menu with the chain’s Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce, Publix Fried Onions, and other toppings that vary by sandwich.
The Stacked Brisket and Brioche Sandwich features a half pound of brisket drizzled with Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce on a buttered brioche roll, while the Spicy Brisket Sub layers brisket with Boar’s Head 3‑Pepper Colby Jack cheese, jalapeños, and crispy Publix Fried Onions.
The Brisket, Lettuce and Tomato Sub offers a fresher, classic profile with lettuce, tomatoes, and Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce, and the Southern Style Brisket Sub pairs brisket with Publix cheddar, dill pickles, Publix Fried Onions, and the same BBQ sauce.
John Godke, Publix Category Manager, said brisket stood out as the right protein during product testing and that a Texas based supplier well known for its smokehouse delivered the quality and consistency they sought, as reported by USA TODAY.
Prices start at $11.99 for the sandwich and $10.99 for the subs, depending on location and toppings, according to USA TODAY.
Availability Context And Brand Background
The new brisket items are available now at participating Publix Deli locations and through online ordering where available, the chain said in its release.
Publix operates more than 1,400 stores across the Southeast, a company figure noted in reporting by Cleveland.com, and the deli additions are intended to build on long standing favorites.
The chain cited the Chicken Tender Pub Sub as a fan favorite since its debut in 1992, and said the brisket menu was developed with the goal of creating similarly devoted followings for the new protein.
Publix has previously introduced limited seasonal and specialty items, including a December 2025 campaign for seasonal “Merry Birthday” cakes, demonstrating continued product experimentation at bakery and deli counters.
