Emirates on Saturday reported cancellations and schedule uncertainty on selected Bahrain and Kuwait services as Gulf carriers adjusted operations amid regional tensions.
Etihad Airways confirmed a mix of scheduled and cancelled Bahrain and Kuwait flights, and said Sochi services were affected by airport closure.
Etihad listed EY643 Abu Dhabi to Bahrain as scheduled and EY644 Bahrain to Abu Dhabi as scheduled.
The carrier said EY641, EY645 and EY647 from Abu Dhabi to Bahrain and EY642, EY646 and EY648 from Bahrain to Abu Dhabi are cancelled until August 21.
Etihad also reported EY653 Abu Dhabi to Kuwait and EY654 Kuwait to Abu Dhabi as scheduled, and said EY843 Abu Dhabi to Moscow and EY858 Sochi to Abu Dhabi were scheduled.
Etihad said it was assisting passengers affected by cancellations with alternative arrangements and asked customers to keep contact details updated for notifications.
Emirates published a partial Bahrain schedule showing EK835, EK837, EK836 and EK838 cancelled, while EK839 and EK840 remained scheduled.
The airline said some Dubai to Kuwait statuses were unavailable and that full flight information would be posted 24 hours before departure.
Emirates introduced measures allowing eligible customers to change travel dates without a fee, though fare and tax differences may apply.
Flydubai said regional services to Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were operating as scheduled and advised passengers to check individual flight status and complete online check-in.
Air Arabia reported multiple cancellations and timing changes across UAE routes to Kuwait and Bahrain and flagged several flights as not yet departed.
Several international carriers also adjusted Gulf services. British Airways suspended flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman until October 25 and cut frequencies to Doha and Riyadh.
Philipine Airlines suspended Dubai services until October 2, Air France paused Dubai and Beirut flights until August 18, Turkish Airlines resumed Dubai and Abu Dhabi services, Air Canada extended suspensions, and Singapore Airlines delayed resumption to October 24.
Regional reports said Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people, a UAE linked vessel was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, and the USS George Washington arrived in the Arabian Sea to relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Travel Impact And Guidance For Passengers
Airports and airlines warned passengers to expect extra processing time during the busy summer period and amid heightened security measures across the region.
Flights between the UAE and India face enhanced security at airports and major hubs until August 20, with travellers urged to allow additional time for screening and formalities.
Airports in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram advised early arrival, and carriers including Air India, IndiGo and SpiceJet urged passengers to plan for longer processing times.
Officials and airlines advised travellers departing UAE airports to check flight status before leaving home, arrive at least three hours before international departures, and use online check-in where available.
Passengers were told to keep contact details updated for alerts and to be prepared for last minute delays, cancellations, or schedule changes, particularly on Bahrain and Kuwait routes.
Most UAE flights continued to operate, but airlines and officials cautioned that schedules can change at short notice and to consult carriers directly for the latest information.
