winter storm remains a frequent search term as Channel 3000 reported a warm stretch with 70 degree temperatures returning by Tuesday and lasting into Thursday.
Channel 3000 said a cold front arriving Thursday night and Friday will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but the overnight timing makes the threat for severe weather low, and forecasters are monitoring conditions.
Forecasters at Channel 3000 described the next 24 hours as seasonable overnight with partly cloudy skies and lows in the 40s, followed by a pleasant stretch Tuesday through Thursday with highs in the 70s into Thursday.
Channel 3000 added that a stray shower or storm may be possible Wednesday night, while the better chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives late Thursday into Friday, and next weekend will be seasonable with highs in the 50s to lower 60s and a few showers.
Pacific Storm System And Regional Fire Weather Concerns
Snow and Ice Forecasts & Services reported a Pacific storm system bringing strong winds and low elevation rain to much of the West Coast, accompanied by heavy high elevation mountain snow in the Sierra-Nevada through Wednesday.
The same service warned that fire weather concerns will continue into Tuesday across the Mid-South and Southeast, where gusty winds and dry conditions persist and raise ongoing risk for fire weather problems.
Taken together, the reports show a split pattern with mild conditions and late week storm chances in one region, while the West Coast and mountain zones face strong winds, rain at low elevations, and heavy mountain snow, and other regions continue to manage fire weather concerns.
