Inspection, Repairs and Company Estimates

American Honda Motor Co. said dealers will inspect rear subframes and install a reinforcement kit where needed, or repair or replace rear subframe components at no cost to owners, and Honda issued internal recall identifiers AOU and AOT.

Honda estimated that about 1 percent of the vehicles contain the defect, and American Honda Motor Co. said it had received no warranty claims and no reports of injury or death related to the issue.

The NHTSA published recall campaign numbers in its notices, including 26V365000 and 26V367000, and said owners will receive notification letters from the manufacturer, with vehicle identification numbers for affected cars to be searchable on NHTSA.gov at a future date.

Owners seeking information may contact Honda customer service by phone at 1-888-234-2138, and dealers will perform the required inspections and repairs free of charge, NHTSA and American Honda Motor Co. said in their respective notices.
