  • Flight DL5090 landed safely at Detroit and taxied to Gate C21
  • Delta fund granted $25,000 and $35,000 to replace and equip delivery van

A Delta Air Lines regional flight required ground intervention after a dispute among cabin crew, officials said.

The flight deck crew of Delta Connection Flight DL5090, operated by Endeavor Air, contacted ground operations while on final approach into Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, the captain reported.

The Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR regional jet, registration N132EV, had departed Greenville Spartanburg International Airport at 7:00 PM EDT and was bound for Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

On approach the captain told ground control, "We are experiencing conflict issues among the flight attendants and will likely need to separate them to prevent further escalation or an incident," according to radio communications.

The aircraft landed safely on runway 21L a few minutes later and taxied to Gate C21, where inflight management personnel were waiting to meet the aircraft and address the situation.

Airline officials said it remains unclear what triggered the dispute among the flight attendants. No further incident was reported after arrival and management met the crew at the gate.

Delta Funding Helps Restore Food Delivery Services In Clayton County

Delta Air Lines also figures in a separate community support story in Clayton County, Georgia, where the airline helped a local nonprofit restore delivery services.

The Online Food Pantry Mobile Food Market, founded in 2018 by CEO Frederick West, has helped more than 80,000 people access food assistance across six metro Atlanta counties by recovering surplus food and delivering it to residents.

When the organization’s delivery van was destroyed by fire earlier this year, the Delta Air Lines Clayton County Donor Advised Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta awarded a $25,000 grant to buy a replacement vehicle and restart deliveries.

West said Delta’s support "didn't just help us replace a vehicle — it helped us restore hope, maintain our ability to serve our community, and continue making sure that food reaches those who need it most."

During a recent delivery, staff identified a need for refrigeration to transport perishable items safely. The fund provided an additional $35,000 grant to install a refrigeration system and support operating expenses, Daniel Lewis, philanthropic advisor at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, said.

Lewis described the grants as an example of partnership between the foundation and Delta. The reporting noted that Delta and The Delta Air Lines Foundation support 22 food banks globally and invested more than $1.8 million in corporate funding and grants in 2026 alone.
