Anthropic Claude Corps launches a national fellowship to teach 1,000 early career participants how to use Claude and serve nonprofit hosts, as reported by Anthropic.

Anthropic will fund the program, lead overall strategy, and provide Claude expertise, CodePath will act as the employer of record and lead programming, and Social Finance will lead measurement and evaluation, as reported by the announcement.
Each fellowship lasts 12 months and begins with intensive training on using Claude in nonprofit settings, followed by five hours of weekly ongoing training while fellows work at host organizations, as reported by Anthropic.
Fellows will receive a full time salary of 85,000 dollars plus benefits, a CodePath mentor, Anthropic office hours for technical questions, and an expansive Claude token budget, as reported by Anthropic.
Program Timeline Host Network And Application Rules
Over the next 12 months at least 400 nonprofits will host Claude Corps fellows, and a wide range of organizations are named as hosts in the announcement.
Named host organizations include Braven, Code the Dream, Heartland Forward, Montgomery County Food Bank, Team Red, White & Blue, REEF Environmental Education Foundation, SoundOff, StriveTogether, and YMCA of Greater Charlotte, as reported by Anthropic.
Applications are open now and will close on July 17th for the first cohort, which begins in October 2026, with subsequent cohorts starting in January 2027 and August 2027, as reported by Anthropic.
Anyone over 18 with under two years of full time work experience may apply, provided they are authorized to work in the US, comfortable working with Claude, and willing to relocate if necessary, with relocation support available, as reported by Anthropic.
The organizers say they will rigorously measure how host organizations advance their missions and how fellows develop career skills, and they plan to open source some core technology and infrastructure to enable wider replication, as reported by Anthropic and Claude Corps materials.
