Apple unveiled a new generation of devices centered on a high-end iPhone 18 Pro family and its first foldable, the Apple iPhone Duo, as reported by PCMag and Shortlist. The announcements also cover refreshed Apple Watch models and a new AirPods entry. The company framed these products around camera advances, on-device processing and longer battery life.

The iPhone 18 Pro line includes two sizes and a reworked camera system that introduces a variable aperture, a feature Apple highlighted in coverage of the event and discussed by Shortlist. Apple says the new Pro models use an A20 Pro chip that boosts performance and efficiency. Shortlist reported battery claims of roughly one day for the smaller Pro and notably longer endurance for the Pro Max, along with faster charging that can reach half capacity in about fifteen minutes.

The Apple iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable and carries a titanium frame and a dual-screen layout, according to Shortlist and EE’s listings. The device pairs a compact outer display with a larger inner panel and uses an under-screen camera on the fold-open display. Shortlist noted a 48MP Dual Fusion main camera but said the Duo lacks a dedicated zoom camera and the variable aperture found on the Pro models.

Apple also introduced updated wearables and earphones. Shortlist described the Apple Watch Series 12 as offering much higher heart rate sampling frequency, new readiness metrics driven by heart rate variability, and an S11 processor with enhanced on-wrist AI features such as transcription. The Watch Ultra 4 inherits those sensing upgrades and adds longer rated battery life. Shortlist reported that AirPods 5 deliver improved active noise cancellation roughly one and a half times better than the previous generation and a redesigned acoustic architecture.

Carrier Availability And Preorder Plans

UK network carrier EE confirmed it will carry the new devices and published preorder windows and availability timelines, as reported by Tech & Digital. The carrier listed the iPhone 18 Pro models among the first wave it will offer, with preorders opening ahead of broader availability.

EE said the iPhone Duo will arrive later in the rollout, and its product pages describe the foldable’s key hardware elements including the titanium frame and 48MP Dual Fusion camera system. The carrier also opened preorders for the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 and said it supports pairing watches with iPhones and adding a smartwatch data plan through its service pages.

EE urged customers to check its website for pricing and plan specifics, noting that availability and costs vary by device and plan. The carrier’s staged approach gives buyers the option to target either the early Pro models or the later foldable release during the autumn device cycle.
