Discord users experienced widespread voice connectivity problems that left many unable to join calls, according to user reports and monitoring services. Downdetector recorded an early cluster of roughly 1,400 reports and a separate incident that peaked above 14,000 reports.
Both reports showed the majority of complaints concerned voice. One Downdetector feed indicated more than 90 percent of issues involved voice calls, while another showed about 65 percent linked to voice connectivity.
Discord Support acknowledged the disruption and directed users to the company status page. The status page said We believe we have identified the issue and are taking action to try and restore voice traffic, and later updated that Voice and video should have recovered and users should be able to connect to voice calls. The company added it was still tracking down issues with its API.

The outage prompted a flood of social media reaction and quick workarounds. Some users reported moving group chats to other platforms, and one person wrote DISCORD DOWN AND WE ALL MOVED TO GMEET LOL. Others posted frustration about interrupted screen shares and voice chats.
Industry guidance and reporting explained the common awaiting endpoint error typically appears when the client cannot connect to a voice server. Causes cited included network issues, server outages, or configuration bugs. Suggested fixes noted in coverage included checking for official outages, restarting the Discord client, switching voice regions, and rebooting home routers.
Discord updated its status page as the company pursued recovery and identified the underlying problem. While voice and video services were reported to have recovered, the company said it continued to investigate related API issues to fully restore platform functionality.
