Google joins a strategic effort announced by OpenText and S3NS to deliver a hybrid trusted cloud architecture for Europe out of France, the companies said. The arrangement aims to let organisations keep their most sensitive data workloads in a locally governed environment while using hyperscaler cloud services for non sensitive workloads, innovation, and scale.
OpenText described the offering as a trusted platform built on Google Cloud technology and highlighted the company’s experience with regulated deployments. Shannon Bell, Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Officer at OpenText, said "OpenText has spent years building trusted, secure content solutions for the world's most regulated industries and regions including FedRAMP-authorized, IRAP-assessed, and Protected B-aligned deployments."
Bell added that making the solution available on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud brings that expertise to a sovereign cloud purpose built for the European Union, and said "Together with AWS, we are giving customers the confidence to innovate at scale without compromising on control," according to the announcement.
Search Processing And AdSense Partner Experiments
Google staff also addressed separate product updates. On sitemaps, a site operator asked if a "still processing" status could be added for XML sitemaps that have been crawled but not fully processed. John Mueller said he had "chatted with the teams involved about this on and off" and acknowledged the issue can be annoying, but he added he had no news or announcements to share.
On advertising, Google wrote that Google AdSense will experiment with an updated set of commonly used ad technology partners. The company said "Starting on or after April 20, 2026, Google AdSense will experiment with an updated set of commonly used ad technology partners," and added that if the experiment proves beneficial the list will be updated "on or after June 5, 2026."
The company said the update will reflect partners that work most closely with publishers globally, determined by programmatic demand data and privacy standards. Publishers can view and control partners from the Manage your ad technology partners page and may prevent automatic updates by selecting "Do not automatically include commonly used ad partners," which creates a custom, pre filled list. Forum discussions were noted for both the sitemap topic and the AdSense update.
